Writeful mind
nominated me for the Liebster award post so here goes. I’ll take the lobster dinner too 😃

The Liebster Award is an online award given to new or undiscovered bloggers by other bloggers. The lovely creator of Scribbles and Musings researched the Liebster award and included more information about the word ‘liebster’, which is of German origins and has several definitions: dearest, sweetest, kindest, nicest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, welcome, sweetheart and boyfriend.

Rules for the Liebster Award:

Once you are nominated,

Make a post thanking and linking the person who nominated you.
Include the Liebster Award sticker in the post too.
Nominate 5 -10 other bloggers who you feel are worthy of this award. Let them know they have been nominated by commenting on one of their posts. You can also nominate the person who nominated you.
Ensure all of these bloggers have less than 200 followers.
Answer the eleven questions asked to you by the person who nominated you, and make eleven questions of your own for your nominees or you may use the same questions.
Lastly, COPY these rules in the post.

I was asked to answer these questions:

1. If you could meet one famous person, who would it be?

I like to create so Thomas Edison would be up there. I assume that famous person can be dead or alive…

2. List 5 songs that would appear on the soundtrack of your high school years.

Jive Talkin (Bee Gees)
Philadelphia Freedom (Elton Jon)
Midnight Blue (Melissa Manchester)
No No Song (Ringo Starr)
Misty (Ray Stevens)

3. If you could tell your younger self 5 things that you feel are important to know for the transition to adulthood, what would they be?

•Go for your goals no matter what
•Don’t worry about the opinion of others
•Travel more
•Play more music
•Listen to old people

4. What would your ideal day consist of?

I would want it to be full of variety and would start it with getting up reasonably early maybe 8 am and making a great breakfast which in itself would have a variety of things like waffles, scrambled eggs with chives or perhaps shallots, sausages, and several types of juice and coffee. Also, a plate of fresh fruit and perhaps cheeses to go with. An ideal day starts with an ideal breakfast.
From there, I would want to perhaps check out a new museum exhibit and following that meet some friends for lunch. The afternoon would be spent in some sort of recreation ideally a hike or kyak to a new destination.
Later in the day, I would relax with a great travel or fiction book and also get some blogging or internet time before dinner. Happy hour could ideally be extended and of course the weather would be perfect for a bbq out on the verandah with friends of my choosing.
Later, we would retire inside to my home theatre and Netflix. The day would probably end quite late.

5. What is your go-to website when you’re bored and need cheering up?

Comedy Central

6.Where is your ideal place to write?

Where I am right now…seated on my sofa.

7.What’s your most prized possession and who gave it to you {or where did you get it}?

Pink Buddha my mom left me. But, I am not much into possesssions.

8. What’s the one thing on your bucket list that you absolutely have to do?

Travel to Iceland among other places.

9. Are you still in touch with the first friend you ever made, outside of your family?

Alas no…

10. Is there a teacher who taught you something that still sticks with you even now? If so, who’s the teacher and what was the lesson?

A history teacher from High School who said History is not a fact.

11. If someone made a movie about you and your life, what genre would it be and why?

It would have to be a Travelogue because I have done a lot of that. But truth can be stranger than fiction so the movie would have to be “based on a true story”.

Ok…so time for my 11 questions for my nominees before wrapping up my Liebster.

1. Do you wish you were born in another time?
2. What was the best job you ever had?
3. Relate a time when you faced a huge challenge and how you overcame it.
4. What do you like most about blogging and what least?
5. Do you have a favorite pet that you would either like to have or have had?
6. What sort of food could you eat daily and not get tired of it?
7. What does the expression “a kid in a candy shop” mean to you. Give an example from your experience if possible.
8. What is your favorite genre of book?
9. Do you use a shopping list?
10.What did you last Google?
11.Do you Tweet?

    1. Oh I did but somehow need to post link on every nominees profiles. I guess just post it as a comment. There isn’t a wall or timeline feature like facebook has where you can share a link without posting in an exiting thread. .hmmm

      1. You notify them in a comment to one of their posts. You could also post the nominees on the FB group, if you’ve nominated anyone who’s a member. 🙂
